Paul's Omoide Yokocho Book Nook Kit Project
3/24/2026 This past Christmas I received an interesting gift from my nephew Alex: the " Omoide Yokocho Book Nook " kit. This craft project depicts a famous bar/restaurant district in Tokyo. I had never heard of this place before , so learning about it has already taught me something new. The kit (by Anavrin) appears to be very well made, with many small parts. Most of the parts are wood, but there are also some made of plastic, paper, wire, and glass, as well as LED lighting. It looks like a pretty ambitious endeavor that will require a steady hand and patience - d efinitely a task not to be rushed! The box says that this kit has 275 pieces and can be built in 4-6 hours. I am sure it will take longer than that to do it well.
